An increasing amount of companies are turning to social enterprise for Christmas gifts. Moreover, this is a trend that is not only impacting North American companies but companies around the world. The idea to blog about this topic came when I landed on an article about the increasing popularity of this trend in Singapore. As sales increase five-fold for social enterprises in the country, local entrepreneurs are attributing this seasonal increase in sales to corporate buyers who ask for large orders.
It is exciting to see companies recognizing the need to use their dollar for social causes, while still achieving their corporate goals. We hope this trend continues to increase in 2013 as Canadian and international small, medium and large-scale businesses turn to social enterprise to source their corporate gifts.
